Cris and Leo celebrated their wedding at the Church of Benaguasil and invited their guests to a banquet in Campo Anibal, a century-old farmhouse near Valencia. I met this couple a few months ago during their engagement photo session: we met in the Ermita de San Vicente, Olocau . Cris and Leo are two open minded, curious and positive persons, they form a great couple!
Cristina is a sweet and curious woman. She loves running shoes, travelling and watching movies. Her favourite actress is Nicole Kidman, she also likes listening to Spanish music such as Pablo Alboran and Manolo García. Leopoldo prefers listening to international music such as Cold Play or Michael Jackson and his favourite movies are Pulp Fiction and The Wolf of Wall Street.
From the first moment I met Cris and Leo I felt it would be easy and pleasant to work with them. I was right: I had all the freedom a wedding photographer may want to make good portraits, natural and original photos.
The story begins as usual in the house where the groom is getting ready. Leo awaits us in the house where his relatives live. We have time to make various portraits and photos of the details of the preparations, while Leopoldo get’s ready with his vest, suit and tie sets. After a fiew family photos we say goodbye and move on to the house where the bride is getting ready.
Cristina awaits us along with his family in the house of Benaguasil, a few kilometers from Valencia. You can feel in the environment there is a big event happening, the time of the wedding is very close and you can feel all the emotion in the air. I like to capture real moments, photos of what’s going on. I follow my photojournalist style that allows me to get the best pictures, the most interesting and significant. I like to think that these images will have great value in the years to come, they will be telling what happened and how people are feeling. That’s why I do it in the most authentic way possible.
Cristina is like a princess, wearing a stylish white dress with delicate details that highlight her beauty. When the time comes all the family moves down the stairs and walk with Cris as in solemn procession to the church. In the church we meet Leo and the guests all very excited. There is great expectation and finally the bride makes her entrance. The ceremony is very emotional, Cris and Leo pronounce the “Yes I do” in a festive environment and general merriment.
After the ceremony the newlyweds and guests traveling to Campo Aníbal, a Valencian XI century farmhouse with large gardens set amid orange groves. We take some portraits with the couple in the garden, taking advantage of the last rays of the sun.
Nothing was missing in the banquet: the grand entrance, the cake, the gifts, bouquets, surprises of friends, and dancing. It was an unforgettable night, a real celebration.
Leo and Cris thanks for trusting me and letting me be part of this great day.
This is a small selection of photos of the story, I hope you like them as much as I do.
