They met six years ago in Valencia, in the neighborhood of Ruzafa. They are united by passion for traditional festivals of Valencia: Las Fallas. Romina and Roman are a happy couple who decided to get married and celebrate their wedding with their beloved in Valencia. In order to break the ice and get comfortable we start with an engagement photo session in the center of Valencia, in the Carmen district.
Roman is computer scientist, he likes to read and his favorite author is Stephen King. Romina prefers to read historical stories as “The time between seams”. The two share musical tastes, especially they love Spanish pop, but Romina confesses to being a fan also of Raffaella Carrà. They both like to watch movies and enjoy films like the Star Wars saga or the comedies of Woody Allen. Most of all, they are a great couple and really fit well together.
During the photo shoot we had a great time, discovering corners of the city of Valencia and making portraits that will become part of their love story. We strolled through the Plaza de la Reina, Calle Caballeros and other places of the charming downtown.

The wedding day: from Ruzafa to Alquería Kukala
I met Romina and Roman thanks to their friends Barbara and Peter, a couple who I had the pleasure to photograph on the day of their wedding, three years ago. As a wedding photographer I feel honored and happy to meet people like them, who appreciate and recommend my work to their friends. It was nice to see them again with their little daughter during this wedding.
The day Romina and Roman celebrate their love, begins in the Valencia neighborhood of Ruzafa. In the Cucrch of San Francisco de Borja, family and friends gather to listen Romina and Román saying “Yes, I want!”. After the celebration all the guests congratulated the couple before getting on a bus that takes them to the Kukala farmstead, a beautiful spot on the outskirts of the city where they will share unforgettable moments with the bride and groom.
Romina is wearing a lovely wedding dress made by her family friend, the designer Alfonso. This dress has the peculiarity of taking a very long tail that can be removed when the bride wants to move more comfortably. Romina is radiant and wears her wedding dress very naturally.
After the ceremony Roman Romina and grant me a few minutes to make portraits in the gardens of Kukala farmstead. Sunlight has a wonderful color at this time of year, helping me taking a few romantic portraits of the newlyweds in the sunset .
After the cocktail, all guests enter the hall where the feast is prepared. The bride and groom are about to enter and now Roman finds his soulmate grabbing a microphone and singing for her a beautiful love song. All guests are standing applauding the couple, Romina is so happy and joyful.
The highlights of the wedding photography are those real things that happen, and the best pictures are those “candid” shots when people do not realize or forget to be photographed. I love to capture the atmosphere of the wedding in a photo journalistic and documentary style.
During the ceremony and banquet there were many of these emotional moments and I want to thank the bride and groom and their guests for their cooperation and assistance throughout the report.
The party continues with hugs, kisses and smiles. Thanks Romina and Roman for your trust, and for letting me capture your great day.
