C. and J are couple from Valencia, who loves music, painting and art. They met at a dance class a few years ago, it was love at first glance. Recently they planned to get married and started organizing their wedding day. Their favorite painting is the famous kiss by Klimt, a painting that represents well their love story.
Among her favorite movies are Amelie, Romeo y Julietta and American Beauty. She listens to instrumental music, highlighting the composer Ludovico Einaudi but she also likes other groups like Pink Floyd or Lindsdey Stirling. They both love books and have a huge library library, her favorite books are by Shakespeare or philosophical texts, he likes to read books by Talken or Perez Reverte.
As a wedding photographer I consider essential to establish a direct and honest relationship with the couples. When I work with people like J. & C. aI feel comfortable because they are natural in front of the camera and it is easy to capture spontaneus gestures and glances. We started taking some photos during the engagement session, in the Turia River Park in Valencia, an area that offers many opportunities for original photos. We ended the session with a pre-wedding portraits in the swimming pool, I love performing different pictures!
Engagement session:
Wedding in Jardines La Hacienda, Valencia:
The wedding day I met the Groom at home with his parents. He appeared calm and tranquil although you could see in his eyes a special thrill. We started with some portraits wile he was getting ready for the wedding. Then we went to visit the Bride, she was preparing at home with the help of her family and friends. These moments are important to tell the story of the couple on their wedding day, I like to keep it in a documentary form, shooting as a photo journalist. I like to let things happen rather than ask people to pose.
The Wedding ceremony was held at the Hacienda Gardens – Jardines de Hacienda (jardineslahacienda.com), a complex with various wedding halls with modern and elegant spaces, a few kilometers from Valencia. The ceremony was emotional, with readings from family and friends . As a photographer I try not to distract me, but when I hear words so sincere and full of feelings I can not help but listen and cheer for the couple.
After the ceremony I went with the couple to take some pictures in the gardens. Just a quick set of portaits and then we continued documenting the appetizer and the wedding feast. During dinner we had many occasions for emotional pictures: kisses, hugs and smiles were accompanying the night. Bride and Groom are dancers with years of experience and for their wedding day they prepared a special dance and performed it in front of all his guests.
It has been a pleasure to witness this special day.
J and C Thanks for letting me capture your emotions with my camera.
Here is a selection of photos of the story.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
