Stephen and Angela celebrated their Wedding in Valencia. San Juan de La Cruz is one of the most famous and ancient churches of Valencia. A solemn and emotional ceremony for this special couple. The groom is from South Africa, and the bride is from Valencia, they met a few years ago thanks to their jobs. As I could see during the engagement session that we had a few weeks before, they are an adorable, united and happy couple. Now they have decided to start a new chapter in their lives, and they lived it up with their best friends and relatives.
On the day of the wedding in Valencia: first I take some photographs in the house where Stephen is getting ready, with his relatives who have come from South Africa. The groom is very happy and a little nervous … Getting married is something you do not do every day! His nephew and his sister accompany him with games and complicit glances. I can feel happiness in the air; it is clear that something important is happening.
Next, we continue with the story documenting the preparations at the Bride’s family home: When we arrive there is an atmosphere of partying and anticipation. What a surprise, Angela has a twin! Her sister pays close attention to every detail, helping her with makeup; they are like two peas in a pod. We take a series of photos capturing this emotional moment. At the set time, we say goodbye and move on to the San Juan de la Cruz Church.
In the church, we find the groom, Stephen eager to see his fiancee’s arrival. The San Juan de la Cruz church was recently restored and looks wonderful; the ceremony takes place with discretion and solemnity.

After the wedding party in Jardines La Cartuja
The reception was held in the Jardines La Cartuja of El Puch. A place where the bride and groom along with their guests have enjoyed an open air cocktail and a feast of kings. Before all the guests arrived, Stephen and Angela gave me a few minutes to do some newlyweds portraits. We took advantage of the majestic vintage car and the light of the sunset, trying to create some photos to match the situation. A few minutes were enough; I do not like to force the bride and groom to waste more precious time, it’ better that they enjoy being with their friends and family.
The feast passed between exciting moments and some surprises. The ballrooms are elegant, and the attention is unbeatable. Friends from South Africa mingled with Spanish friends, and they all danced and enjoyed the union of Stephen and Angela. A unique couple!
This is a small selection of photos taken on the wedding day.
I hope you like them as much as I do!
