Isabella and Stig are a young couple living in Oslo. They celebrated their wedding in Spain since a grandfather of Isabella was from Valencia and they love this city.
Stig and Isabella are two adorable persons: Stig has been a professional basketball player and now works for the Norwegian television. Isabella loves music: she plays the piano and sings. She also teaches although in recent years he has devoted herself full time to care for her two girls.
They arrived at Valencia a few days before the celebration. We met in the centre of the city for a pre-wedding photo session. This is very important to meet each other, brake the ice and create the trust. We had a great time, Stig and Isabella are a very united couple and two great parents. They brought with them their two daughters and we toured and played around in the area of the Central Cathedral along with all the family.
The wedding day I began taking photos, as usual during their preparations. With Stig there was a group of friends who helped him to dress. Laughs and good vibes in the Caro Hotel were not missing. When Stig was ready I moved on to portray Isabella: she prepared in the house of her mother, surrounded by friends and family. As a photographer I would like to thank Stig and Isabella and their families for letting me capture the moments in a very natural and spontaneous way, without poses or actions. Not understanding the Norwegian language I was able to focus one hundred percent on photos, making a real documentary wedding photography
The ceremony was held at the Alquería del Pi, a beautiful farm of 1800 completely restored and surrounded by nature located very close to Valencia. The civil ceremony took place outdoors, in the nice gardens with floral decorations. Everything was perfect, the only surprise was the west wind that raised the temperature more than usual. After the ceremony the newlyweds and guests quickly protected themselves from heat entering the spacious air-conditioned lounge where they enjoyed the cocktale.
Shortly after, the guests sat at their tables at wedding feast. I was surprised with the tradition in Norway: friends and family pronounce emotional speeches to the newly married. A very nice way to express feelings toward the couple in front of all friends and family.
The children were also very important in this party. Stig and Isabella’s daughters had many friends to play with. There was a large garden and an entertainment team that cared for them. At no time the couple forgot their role of parents and their daughters were together when needed.
The party continued with a performance by Isabella who sang a song for her husband before throwing the bouquet. Then came the time of the wedding cake and finished the night dancing grooms.
