Every year more couples decide to celebrate their wedding abroad, Destination Weddings are becoming popular for many reasons, they are different, they are an unforgettable adventure, and they are fun. One thing is sure: for a wedding photographer, destination weddings are a great source of inspiration.
Shooting Tania and Felix’s destination wedding in Rome was a real adventure, and it was a great fun too. Recently i was in Rome for the wedding of Ana and Javier, and now I had the opportunity to go back to this wonderful city.
I know Rome quite well. Part of my family lives here and I use to visit this city quite often, since I was a child. Rome is a city that can surprise you with the beauty of her monuments, it can shook you with the weight of her history or can just amaze you with the atmosphere of her streets. The kindness of the people, the food…. many are the reasons to fall in love with Rome. This is one of the most romantic cities in the world, where Fellini filmed “La dolce vita”. Reading Roma the other way it’s Amor, Love.
As a wedding photographer two of the things I appreciate mostly from my clients are their time and their trust. Time is essential to take good photos, to do good things you should not bee in a hurry. Trust is very important, without it it’s almost impossible to yes spontaneous and natural portraits. Tania and Felix gave me both, and i thank them for this.
Tania and Felix decided to celebrate their destination wedding in Rome, an adventure they will never forget. I met this couple during the engagement session we did some time before. Their voyage started from Valencia, Spain. They travelled by car through France and North Italy stopping in other cities such as Barcelona or Florence. They reached Rome to celebrate here a very intimate wedding.
The ceremony was held at the Spanish Council,in a romantic and friendly atmosphere. After the wedding we went walking in the center of Rome visiting some of the beauties of the city. We visited the Phanteon, a church with two thousands of years of history and an amazing light. In the afternoon we went to one of the greatest parks of Rome: Villa Borghese. Here we could take some more romantic photos wit Tania and Felix in a natural location.
It hase been a real pleasure to document this day, thanks Tania and Felix!
Those photos are the result of the time spent together, and the trust you gave me.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
