Denise and Joseph are a couple who decided to celebrate their destination wedding in Valencia. The couple come from afar: their roots are in Ethiopia and Ghana although they both live in New York. Denise’s family lives in Germany, and their origins go back to Ethiopia and Ghana while Joseph’s family comes from Ghana. An incredible mix of cultures and traditions.

Destination Wedding in Valencia, with family and friends
The couple decided to celebrate their destination wedding in Valencia by gathering friends and family in a special place to celebrate their wedding. Valencia offers a privileged place to celebrate a destination wedding even in the winter months. Its light and its good climate together with the comforts of a big city make it an ideal destination to get married.
The organization of the wedding has been coordinated with Justine from Spain 4 Weddings, a wedding planner who has ensured that everything was as the couple had imagined. She has planned every detail, from the dinner before the wedding, the flowers, the trips and the place of the celebration and banquet. Having a wedding planner is the ideal solution for brides who do not want to worry, but when it comes to a destination wedding with many guests, as in this case, it is the only guarantee that everything will work out.
Getting Ready in Meliá Hotel
Denise and Joseph prepared for the wedding at the Hotel Melía, one of the most exclusive in Valencia. From the 37th floor, the entire city can be admired, but to those who come from New York, Valencia has to seem like little more than a little village 🙂
Joseph is happy and excited, he knows that the big moment is almost here. Together with his friends he finishes dressing up, he is wearing an elegant white jacket and is looking forward to seeing Denise. The bride gets ready with her bridesmaids in another room. Denise is very relaxed and enjoys these moments with her mother and her cousin. She is wearing a beautiful mesh dress and when she puts it on she turns into a beautiful princess with a big smile. Her father takes her on the way to the ceremony.
Wedding in Campo Anibal
The groom arrives first in Campo Anibal, along with his team in a white limousine. Everything is ready and the guests are already in their places. The day is winter but the Valencian sun does not fail and the first rays of sun come out through the clouds that will accompany the ceremony and help us in the photos. When the bride arrives, two little ladies precede her down the aisle.
The ceremony was officiated by Chiara who accompanied the couple at this time with words full of sentiment. All the guests were moved along with the couple in this magical moment. Classical music played with elegance by a duo made up of a piano and a violin was the perfect sound column of the celebration.
Bride and Groom Portraits
After the beautiful ceremony we took some photos in the garden and in the orange groves around Campo Anibal. Meanwhile the guests enter the room where the banquet will be held. Denise and Joseph feel very happy and it can be seen in every look. Valencian light gives us some warm rays that are perfect for group photos and portraits of the couple.
The dinner is celebrated with speeches form friends and family, many hugs, kisses and a general sensation of joy and happiness…
The Wedding Party
Finally, a party in style could not be missing. Denise and Joseph changed during the night and wore the typical dresses of their land. The rhythms, the dances and the colours transformed the atmosphere into an incredible celebration.
I hope Denise and Joseph will enjoy remembering this incredible day for a long time. It has been a honour for me to be able to capture some great moments and I am grateful to the couple for their trust in my work.
